(n.) one who supports or promotes another's interests

I’m here to serve you.
— John Bang, Attorney

The law is an important part of today's world. Everyone ends up facing it at some point in their lives. Unfortunately, the legal process is often expensive, confusing, and intimidating. The key to keeping your sanity through a legal ordeal is to work with an attorney you can trust. My goal is to become that attorney for you.

Who am I?

I studied philosophy at Reed College and received my law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School. But I believe that what qualifies me most to represent you is that I have encountered a diverse set of experiences. Whether it be religious, political, social, or cultural, I believe it is the diversity of ideas that I have engaged over the years that enables me to be empathetic and creative when it comes to advocating the interests of my clients.

My friends call me John Bang.

What can I do for you?

Estate Planning

Whether young or old, the time comes when people think about their stuff and the people they care about. Estate planning is all about making sure your stuff goes to the right people, not the wrong ones (like the IRS).

For young parents, estate planning is like insurance: planning for the worst but hoping that you never need it. It's about setting up the future of your children in case something were to happen to you. Not just financially, but who do you trust to raise your children the way you would want them to be raised?

If your children have all grown up, estate planning is about ensuring your final wishes are heard and the probate process is smooth and easy for your children (and maybe even saving on taxes!).
